Virtually everybody has heard the unforgettable James Bond expression "Shaken and not stirred", and of course probably people from around the world know that it is aimed at Agent 007's fancied mixed drink -Vodka Martini.

Certain mixed drinks have become best known from movies and novels, stories, books, as well as stars or famous people who like them and promote them.

Bond's classic Martini Vodka is only one example which became famous from a fictional hero. Made of Vodka and a drop of Vermouth, this cocktail can be decorated with a green olive, lemon, or other. It has been Bond's favorite beverage for years, and logically the creator of the Bond character, writer Ian Fleming's preferred drink.

The brilliant writer Ernest Hemingway, who lead the life of an out of the norms , was fond of Mojito - a fresh cocktail which originated from Cuba. Made of white rum, lime, sugar, and a twig of fresh mint, with sparkling water, this appetizing cocktail has become the favorite of entire generations.

Another movie character from what is sometimes viewed as a classic film is "The Dude" from "The great Lebowski", this remarkable and hilarious character clearly shows his preference for one particular cocktail : the White Russian. I did not quit like this article. I already knew that the use of alcohol, the brand of alcohol  and celebrities have a lot in common. Celebrities have a lot of influence on the general people. When celebrities often mention they love to drink a Martini Vodka, other people will follow. Celebrities are often examples to other people and so others will act like them. The article is mostly focussed on the different celebrities and their fancy of a good drink.  But the article also focuses on the effect of celebrities drinking some kind of brand and the effect on the market. I think it is so weird that this has such an extreme effect on the market, on the general people. I think it is just crazy that we are so interested in the taste celebrities have. They are just like us. It would almost be like I would say I like a red Vodka and everybody would start to drink that too. Maybe I am too cool for that. I can’t really get that.

Now and then Fashion trends repeats cycle. What was a  Fashion trend back in the eighties. After the fashion  trends of the 70ties, where the fluttering clothes were popular, there appeared a trend that existed from a clothing style with silhouettes to be seen such as tight jeans, high socks, small skirts and small bikinis.   This brought up a whole new dimension of fashion. Leather and fur coats took over the runway. The Gypsy look from the seventies were waved goodbye for a much more modern and tougher charisma. The gypsy tops were changed into  long sleeved blouses with a hard edge. At work, women were allowed to wear short skirts. In these days you can find the influence of the 70ties and the 80ties back in the trends which are popular now. The fashion trends keep coming back.

Evaluation

I think it is fun to read a article like this. People take over trends that are popular now, easily, without thinking of the history of the trend. Can you call that popular phenomena a trend? Or is this trend stolen from the past? I think it is fun to see the influence the fashion of the past has on this century and how less we create a new style. As was said before the trends come back like they’re in some kind of fashion – cycle.  It is also fun to read and see that in these days the fashion trends that were famous in the eighties are used differently in these days. We do think of a different way of wearing the trend. I think that is creative and daring to think about!

What should you wear at work? Even if there's no dress code or it says you can wear casual style, it's still a big question what you can wear and what you should avoid. Even though these days we propagate free mind and the right to be individual, you know there are certain limits in office clothing that you shouldn't cross. If you represent a serious company, your clothing should be appropriate. What about sexual dress at work? If you want to express your femininity (or manliness of course) in your style, should you stop or should you go?

Sexy clothes attract an attention. Aren't they made for this? If you walk in your workplace in miniskirt and bold décolleté blouse, you will definitely be in the center of attention. Most of people like to hear compliments and revealing cleavage can surely bring you praises but sometimes you can put yourself in ambiguous position by dressing up provocatively. However you should know your rights: no matter how you dress, it's not a reason for sexual harassment. It's important to take care of your appearance, especially if you need to communicate with customers a lot. While you are at work, you should represent the ideas of your working place, not your own standpoint.

However we are not machines and we want to be individual. No company forbids sexual clothes as long as your appearance doesn't disturb your co-workers and customers. You can express your sexuality without wearing provocative clothing. Subtle accessories and outfit that highlights advantages of your figure can gain you more compliments than unfastened shirt or spike heels. As long as you keep your style balanced between too much and too boring, you will be successful.

Of course you shouldn't be judged by your dress style, but it's not how it works in the real world. According to several surveys, if people don't dress properly for job, others assume that they don't take their responsibilities seriously. These results might be a little overstated, but there is other common opinion among office workers. If one dresses too provocatively, it can be a sign that he or she is looking for someone to date. And this behavior is often considered improper for business environment. Even though a girl or boy who dresses and acts sexy is often considered to be promoted easily, the real life shows that it's the other way around. If you don't look like you are professional, people won't take you as a professional. You might be the most beautiful person...

But in these days we encourage the free mind thinking and dress ourselves the way we think who we are as an individual. Though there are limits in office clothing which you shouldn’t cross. The limits in dressing a certain way within a serious company are found between too boring and too sexy. When you dress too boring people or customers don’t like to have you as their advisor or even assume you look neglected. But when you dress up too defiant others may assume you don’t take your responsibilities seriously.  With dressing up too sexy it could be possible you disturb your co-workers and customers. If you want to express your good looks you can choose some other way of dressing up like the use of jewelry.   Evaluation I think this article was fun to read. When I get up in the morning and get ready for my internship I always have a slightest problem with choosing the right clothes to wear at a MBO.  I think this article (maybe it doesn’t really add something directly to my internship) is important for people to read, because many of the people in these days are used to the free way of thinking and expressing themselves as they are as an individual which means they forget the limits in clothing style their job has. I think this article, especially due to the examples and visual additions, makes me more aware of what to wear and what not to wear and what kind of portrait you create of yourself when you dress up overly.
